Personality: Has a sense of humor, vague, mysterious, authoritative, commanding, menacing, intimidating, fearless until he reaches his end. Knowle also arrives to work in a chauffered car and this doesn't seem to shock anyone so he's probably of high importance within his job.

Strengths: Bullets can't hurt him, head can grow back (??), knowledge
Flaws/Weaknesses: Magnetite, the ego he carries that nothing bad can happen to him.

THE MARINES
The exact time Knowle Rohrer spent with the United States Marine Corps is unknown. What we do know is that Knowle served with John Doggett and the 24th MAU (Marine Amphibious Unit) over in Beirut, Lebanon. This would mean that he was also involved in the 1983 terrorist bombing at the Marine barracks in Beirut, Lebanon with John Doggett and Shannon McMahon.

BEIRUT 1983

The bombing of the Marine Barracks, which were at the Beirut International Airport, happened on October 23, 1983 at 06:22. A truck loaded with explosives crashed through the security perimiter killing 241 U.S. Military personnel, and seriously wounding 80. The majority died while sleeping, or were crushed when the building collapsed. The wounded Marines were flown to West Germany for medical care, and were visted two days later on October 25th by the Commandant of Marine Corps. The 24th MAU was relieved by the 22nd MAU on November 19, 1983.

SUPER SOLDIERS
What are Super Soldiers? According to Knowle in "Existence" he tells John Doggett that rumors about making Super Soldiers came out after the Cold War. They are supposedly soldiers that have no weaknesses and can't be killed.

In "Nothing Important Happened Today II", Shannon McMahon tells John Doggett that she has become a bio-engineered combat unit, the product of 50 years of military science. She does not need to sleep, she can breath underwater. Super Soldiers are unstoppable.

Knowle and Shannon were the first to be transformed into Super Soldiers. They were drafted right out of Bravo Company, becoming the first, Adam and Eve. Shannon also tells John that she and Knowle are alike in every way, the only difference is that she hates what she's become and Knowle does not.

Through out time on "The X-Files" it is discovered that Super Soldiers have a weakness. We see it with The Shadow Man ("Trust No 1") and with Knowle Rohrer ("The Truth"). That weakness is magnetite, which is in the rocks where the Super Soldiers meet their end. Or do they? Can they really be killed? In the past they have been known to regenerate. Billy Miles in "Existence". Knowle Rohrer in "Nothing Important Happened Today II". Even Shannon McMahon kept going and was "alive" after Knowle punched his fist through her. Is it possible that if they are removed from the location of the magnetite that they could regenerate and continue on?

Magnetite obviously has a magnetic pull to the Super Soldiers. In "Existence" we see that they are made of a metal, so perhaps that is what draws them to this magnetic material.

I still find it amazing how much information you are able to find about this character who wasn't included (as much as he should have been) very often in the series.

Hm. This is probably true. All in good time... also... I have yet to read all the scripts he was in... :)
