Favorite MSR Moments

Post by Cassiopeia on Mon 19 Apr 2010, 03:49

Granted I'm not a full-blown MSR fan, I prefer my MSR in the UST kind of way. I'm a fan through season 4 for them to hook up, but not after that. Anyway, moving along, what is your favorite moment between them?

For me it would have to be the hallway scene in FTF. The emotions were so raw, the fear of losing the other, the need to be with that person, and Mulder's whole speech about how she makes him a whole person melts me every time I watch it. To me, that is the ultimate Mulder/Scully scene, they should have been like that (and that sincere) all of the time. Beautifully acted by David and Gillian.

well, you posted my absolute favourite one already, so I will add the kiss from Millennium. I don't know what is it about that moment, but that simple, chaste kiss is better then all those that happened afterwards.

Probably because it was a chaste kiss and CC hadn't jacked himself up on crack, errrr... I mean... yeah. That kiss was actually what pulled me over to the Noromo side of things.

Another great MSR moment is at the end of "Memento Mori" when they hug in the hallway. I. Love. That. Scene. Very poignant.

I quite agree with you Cassie about best MSR interaction was Season 4. I am ok with Mulder and Scully as working colleagues but not romance...

I don't know if I can mention this in this thread or tell me to put it in another thread. My least favourite MSR moment... I am sick to death of seeing it in fan videos and hate that scene between Mulder and Scully in The Sixth Extinction II: Amor Fati where Mulder is wearing bandage over his head with a cap... Mulder is extremely unmacho there... No no...

I always loved the hug at the end of Irresistable. Just the way Scully wells up and Mulder allows her to sink into his arms. Such a beautiful moment.

loopyallie - I love that end scene from "Amor Fati", it's the last MSRy moment that I love. I think it doesn't bother me because I don't watch MSR videos at all, very, very, very rarely will I watch one.

Reynard Muldrake - I do like that hug in "Irresistible" too, it's one of those classic Mulder/Scully moments that doesn't lean towards the romantic, rather it shows how close their friendship is.

I was just discussing hugs on another site with other philies, they were picking their least favourite ones and in this 'round' most of them picked Paper Hearts, Demons and Anasazi... I was the only one voting for Requiem. Ugh! It makes me crazy when they do that, I love The Anasazi 'Mulder collapsing in Scully's apartment' moment, those two awkward hugs in paper Herts and Demons. Requiem makes me cringe. *goes to vomit*

I love that moment in "Anasazi" too, gah, wonderful moment. I love it in the early years when she doctored and babied him. So sweet. And those moments in "Paper Hearts" and "Demons" were very popular back in the day when I first started watching this show (1998). I find it hard to believe that 'shippers would vote them out... then again the 'shippers of today are blinded by what's really special and beautiful about the relationship between Mulder and Scully...

The only good thing in "Requiem" is Krycek taking a shower and Skinner, the rest of it is poop. *vomits with Lilith*

Ok, I'm going to have to put on a mod hat here (I just noticed what thread this is in)... let's ween off of this "other XF forums" topic and back to the MSR moments stuff :)

I can start a new thread for this discussion if I can figure out how to split topics and put posts in a new topic... I wonder...

I figured it out, go here to continue on the "Other XF Forums" topic:

Thank you!

One of my favorite Mulder/Scully moments from the last seasons is from season 7's "Amor Fati", the end scene where Scully goes to Mulder to tell him that Diana is dead, and the whole conversation about being a constant and touchstone, and the forehead kiss, touching of his lips, the look on Mulder's face... I love that moment. That's the last Mulder/Scully moment that I love on the series.

I have few small moments I love, Scully getting out of the elevator and Mulder grinning with the "There you are" in Rush, "nice outfit" in Goldberg Variation, Scully being jealous in Alpha...

I don't know if this could be considered a MSR moment as such, but the scene in Pusher when Mulder hands Scully his gun and there's a moment where you see both their hands on the weapon. Hope the way I've worded it doesn't sound filthy or anything, but there was something kinda touching about that. Scully's concern and Mulder's heroism makes for a lovely combination.

I think the best one for me is the end of Existance... Kissing over baby William... That is so sweet and tender...

I love that moment. It's one of those little moments between them that means so much more than any cuddling in bed could ever mean.

I never would have taken that as "filthy" until you pointed it out devious LOL

LOL

So what is the sexiest scene between Mulder and Scully? I figure you may know since you gravitate towards the "filthy" wink

If I had to chose I would go with the neck checking scene in "Ice".
