Johnny English Recruits Gillian Anderson

EXCLUSIVE: The X Files star has been cast as MI7 secret agent Pamela Head in Johnny English Reborn. The Working Title film starts shooting in September. Anderson stars opposite Rowan Atkinson, reprising his turn as the buffoonish spy. She’s represented by CAA and Independent Talent in London.

I have to say that this excites me more than any news about any XF star since the series ended in '02. I have been a fan of Rowan since I was a kid (watching "Mr. Bean"). I love the first "Johnny English" movie and to know another one is made (which may actually be the most exciting thing here for me)! And to have Rowan and Gillian starring together. That ought to be wickedly funny. I can't wait for this one.

I love the black hair look on her. Has she ever actually had her hair dyed black? I photoshopped that image to make her hair black (it was originally blond in the original pic).

I bet she has an English accent :)

I'm really hoping that this doesn't turn out to be just a rumor. I'm way too excited about the news.

Well her hair isn't jet black, but it's dark so that's good enough. Here's the official trailer:



I can't wait to see this movie. I saw the first one in theatres and I love Rowan Atkinson so much!

I saw the movie yesterday and loved it, I was surprised as usually I am not a huge Rowan Atkinson fan, but Gillian was fabulous

I just rented this the other day, somehow not realizing that GA was in it until I saw her in the first MI-7 scene with Rowan Atkinson.
She was brunette *and* she had an English accent!!

Lol.
