Theoretical sciences are more a hobby. I mostly take care of autopsies for the FBI right now, but I wouldn't mind expanding my job description if I were to be employed by your company.

What information can you tell us about Mittlelos?

Thank you for the welcome, Monica. Personally I'm just a recruiter. We're a research company based out of Portland and some other remote locations. We do medical research, scientific research, biological research. I understand you have a way with animals that's unlike anything anyone has ever seen.

I guess you could say I'm an animal whisperer. Sharks, polar bears, lions.... all the so-called "deadly carnivorous beasts" tend to take a liking to me. You don't actually test on animals do you???

I look forward to it. Will I be communicating with you or someone who is your boss?

Initially, just me and there may be one other recruiter there if the company is interested.

What information can you tell us about Mittlelos?

Why not turn a hobby into a career, right?

Mittlelos was founded in 1942. Our main office is located in Portland, but we do have research sites in various areas around the world. We're privately funded, which means freedom. No corporation can limit our researchers, which is, as you can imagine, a big plus. If chosen to work for Mittlelos Laboratories we would move you out to Portland, or if applicable one of our other research locations. Some locations have fully furnished housing with the latest appliances. We're a small community, which makes the work environment very pleasant.

Obviously, that's just the gist. If you're chosen for an interview more information will be given.

I'm a well-qualified Mulder and Scully relationship fanfiction author. You can see two of my many stories here on the forum in the Creatives folder. I'm sure you'll love them. Are you a 'shipper? I've been a 'shipper ever since Mulder and Scully started working together. What are your favorite Mulder and Scully 'shippy moments?

I love when the spoon in bed and kiss. They have a baby together too! They're the perfect romance!

I assure you , there is absolutely no testing on animals. In fact, we've rescued animals from other research companies who left them scarred and afraid and have moved them to safer locations where they will be safe from hunters, poachers, etc. We actually have rescued several sharks and polar bears.

I would love to get a tour of one of your locations to get a better feel for it. My husband (John Doggett) and I have discussed moving out of Virginia, but never had an opportunity to do so. Sometimes it's a bit difficult to work with the person you are married to, and we have also thought about finding careers where we aren't each others partner. John's thought about private security, and as I said before I've been thinking about pediatric medicine.

I fix technical problems with government offices. Just last week I had to go in to the Pentagon to help Mr. Rohrer with a problem he couldn't fix. I'm qualified to work with and fix computers dating back to the late 1970s to current operating systems.

Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to give you a tour of one of our locations. Research is a very competitive field and we do what we can to keep out locations and our personnel secure at all times. That being said, I'll include an application for you as well in the kit I send to your husband. Fill it out and I'll be in contact with the both of you. You're daughter is also welcome to come and visit Portland--on Mittlelos of course.

Oh, ok. Are there any locations that don't house research departments that John and I could tour? I wouldn't want to accept any position (if offered) without knowing what the location is like.

And, on another somewhat related not, you're last name matched with your picture reminds me of someone who actually worked for us at one time. She may have been your grandmother, Carmen? She worked in our security department for a time.
